Tool input and files are processed in this browser without being uploaded.
Before you start
Paste a draft or open a UTF-8 text file to rank its words or Unicode code points. In word mode, enter a known phrase to see its count and first 20 source locations. Rankings count exact word forms; the tool does not judge writing quality.
How to use this tool
- Choose Words or Code points. To locate a known phrase, enter it in word mode.
- Paste text or choose one UTF-8 file, then count frequencies.
- Inspect the ranking and phrase locations, copy matching ranking rows, or download the complete JSON/CSV ranking.
Supported inputs and limits
Word rankings ignore case after Unicode NFC normalization. Phrase lookup is an exact case-insensitive match in the source with flexible whitespace; related forms are not grouped.
Character mode counts Unicode code points, including whitespace by default. One visible symbol can contain multiple code points.
Pasted text is limited to 1 MiB; one UTF-8 file to 10 MiB; at most 50,000 physical lines and 50,000 distinct values. All processing stays in this browser.

]When something does not work
If the table is empty, check the input source and filters. A punctuation-only input has no word groups.
Frequently asked questions
Can this find words from the same family or phrases?
Enter one known phrase to see exact-match counts and the first 20 source locations. This does not discover all phrases automatically or group related word forms.
Why are common words at the top?
All word groups are included by default. Turn on Hide common English function words to omit a fixed list such as the, and and to. The filter is optional and does not remove every unimportant word.
What does Code points count?
It counts Unicode code points, not visual grapheme clusters. Spaces and line breaks are included by default and can be hidden. JSON preserves the exact values; CSV adds a U+ code point column.
Does search change my downloads?
No. Search and Show repeated values only affect the on-page table and copied matching rows. JSON and CSV contain the full ranking after any input filters.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The counting happens locally in your browser. Save the result before refreshing or closing the tab.
