Complete the required options first. You can keep the defaults for the rest.

Preparing the tool…

Before you start

Remove repeated whole lines without changing their order. The first copy stays exactly as written; optional case and surrounding-space rules only affect comparison.

How to use this tool

  1. Paste one entry per line into “Text”, or load the example.
  2. Choose whether comparisons ignore letter case or surrounding spaces, then remove duplicates.
  3. Check the remaining line order and copy or download the complete result.

Supported inputs and limits

Paste up to 1 MiB of text. This compares whole lines, not a selected column or part of a URL; review the result before using it.

CR, LF and CRLF line breaks use the first detected style in the result. Malformed Unicode is rejected.

When something does not work

Keep the source text. If too many lines disappear, turn off case or surrounding-space comparison and run again; shorten input above 1 MiB before retrying.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. Files and tool input are processed in your browser. Moving around the site can keep a temporary workspace in the same tab. Refreshing or closing the tab clears it, so download results you want to keep.

What should I check in this result?

The first matching line stays in its original position and spelling. Blank lines count as lines; with surrounding-space comparison, whitespace-only lines match a blank line. This tool does not compare selected fields inside different lines. Ignoring case uses fixed Unicode 17.0 default lowercase data, including contextual Greek sigma, without language-specific rules or Unicode normalization; ß and SS remain different.
