Extract ZIP
Extract every supported ZIP entry or select files by path.
- 1Add input
- 2Review and run
- 3Get your result
Tool input and files are processed in this browser without being uploaded.
Before you start
Open a local ZIP, see its file paths and choose exactly what to take out. Download one selected file directly, or get several selected files in a new ZIP that keeps their folders. The archive stays in this browser.
How to use this tool
- Choose a local .zip file and wait for its file list. Paths and sizes are read before extraction.
- Keep all files selected, or search and uncheck files you do not need. Then select Extract files.
- Review the selected paths and download: one file directly, or multiple files in a new ZIP that keeps their folders.
Supported inputs and limits
Up to 50 MiB input, 1,000 entries and 100 MiB declared expanded size. Store and Deflate are supported; encrypted, ZIP64, symlink and unsafe paths are rejected. Empty folders are omitted.
Worked example
Example input
independent.zip
Example options
Choose all three files
Example output
Download independent-extracted.zip with nested/你好.txt, empty.txt and binary.bin. The paths remain inside the new ZIP.
When something does not work
If the ZIP directory is unsafe or exceeds a limit, choose a smaller, unencrypted Store/Deflate archive. If a selected file fails its CRC check, the result is rejected; keep the original archive and obtain a clean copy.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Files and tool input are processed in your browser. Moving around the site can keep a temporary workspace in the same tab. Refreshing or closing the tab clears it, so download results you want to keep.
What should I check in this result?
Check the selected path list and download format. The ZIP directory is checked before selection; selected file contents are expanded and CRC-checked. A multi-file download is a new ZIP because browsers do not save a folder from this control.
