Create a ZIP
A few files. One easy-to-share package.
- 1Add input
- 2Adjust settings
- 3Get your result
Tool input and files are processed in this browser without being uploaded.
Before you start
Put several files or a folder into one ZIP for sharing. A folder keeps its paths; files added on their own go at the top level. Review the actual contents and download a new archive without uploading the originals.
How to use this tool
- Choose individual files or a folder. Folder selection keeps the folder name and subfolders; dragged files are added at the top level.
- Name the ZIP and choose Deflate for smaller text files or Store for faster packing. Check the file list, then create the ZIP.
- Review the saved paths, sizes and methods, then download the ZIP and share the file yourself.
Supported inputs and limits
Up to 1,000 files and 50 MiB total input. Empty folders and original modification times are not preserved. ZIP64 and password encryption are not created.
Worked example
Example input
a.txt a.txt
Example options
Name: application; compression: Deflate
Example output
Download application.zip containing a.txt and a (2).txt. Both files remain separate with their original bytes.
When something does not work
If a file path is unsafe or conflicts with another path, remove or rename that file and try again. Choose a folder with the folder button; empty folders are omitted. Password-protected ZIPs and files over the stated limits are not supported.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Files and tool input are processed in your browser. Moving around the site can keep a temporary workspace in the same tab. Refreshing or closing the tab clears it, so download results you want to keep.
What should I check in this result?
Check that all intended paths are listed and compare the archive size. Repeated paths receive a numbered suffix; already compressed files may not shrink. Download the ZIP and open it before sharing.
