Tool input and files are processed in this browser without being uploaded.
Before you start
Check the existing title, author, subject and keywords before editing. If the PDF also has document XMP, remove that conflicting entry before writing new Info fields so a reader does not keep showing the old values. You can also clear supported Info and XMP entries.
How to use this tool
- Choose a local PDF and inspect its current Info fields and XMP status.
- Edit fields directly when document XMP is absent, choose Replace to remove document XMP before editing, or choose Clear to remove supported Info and XMP entries.
- Process the PDF, inspect the metadata read from the generated file, and download it.
Supported inputs and limits
One unencrypted PDF, ≤30 MiB and 300 pages. Changes may invalidate signatures; keep the original.
Files and input are processed in this browser. No account needed.
Replace removes the entire document XMP entry, including properties not shown here. Clear removes standard Info and document/page XMP entries. Neither removes visible text, attachments, annotations or every embedded metadata item; this is not redaction.

Frequently asked questions
Why is Edit blocked when XMP is present?
Some PDF readers prefer document XMP to Info. Editing Info alone may leave the old title or author visible. Choose Replace document metadata to remove document XMP first; that also discards its other properties.
How can I check the result?
The result panel reads title, author, subject, keywords and XMP status from the generated PDF. Check the downloaded file in your intended reader too. Page text does not change.
What should I check before using the result?
One unencrypted PDF, ≤30 MiB and 300 pages. Changes may invalidate signatures; keep the original.
Is my input sent to a server?
No. Tool input is processed in your browser, not sent to a server. Temporary workspaces stay in the same tab and are cleared by a refresh or tab closure. Save the results you need.
