Read EPUB
Open a local EPUB and check its chapters in your browser.
- 1Add input
- 2Review and run
- 3Get your result
Tool input and files are processed in this browser without being uploaded.
Before you start
Open a local, unencrypted EPUB in spine order. Chapter names come from its table of contents when available. The isolated preview blocks book scripts and external resources and displays embedded JPEG or PNG images.
How to use this tool
- Choose the local .epub file. The working copy stays in this browser.
- Check your input, then select “Open book”.
- Choose a chapter or use Previous and Next, then read the isolated preview. Copy current chapter text if needed. The book remains local and is not uploaded.
Supported inputs and limits
Document packages are limited to 20 MiB, 2,000 entries and 100 MiB expanded. This quick reader does not save bookmarks or sync reading position.
Each package entry must expand by no more than 100 times its compressed size; highly compressed or malformed packages are rejected.
An EPUB can contain at most 1,000 spine chapters. The isolated chapter preview supports embedded PNG and JPEG images up to 5 MiB each; missing, external or unsupported images are represented by available alternative text.

Keep the source book. If it cannot be opened, check that the EPUB is valid and unencrypted; changing the filename extension will not repair it.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Files and tool input are processed in your browser. Moving around the site can keep a temporary workspace in the same tab. Refreshing or closing the tab clears it, so download results you want to keep.
What should I check in this result?
Check chapter order, text and embedded images. This quick reader does not save your place; use a dedicated reader for long-term reading.
