- 1Add input
- 2Adjust settings
- 3Get your result
Tool input and files are processed in this browser without being uploaded.
Before you start
Save selectable PDF text as a UTF-8 TXT file. Choose pages in the order you need; scanned pages without a text layer are reported and are not passed through OCR.
How to use this tool
- Choose the local .pdf file. The working copy stays in this browser.
- Select pages in the preview or enter page numbers in the order you need, then choose “Extract text”.
- Read the text preview and any missing-text page numbers. Copy or download the TXT file.
Supported inputs and limits
Unencrypted PDFs are limited to 30 MiB and 300 pages each; keep the original.

When something does not work
Use an unencrypted PDF with selectable text. Invalid page ranges are rejected. If every selected page is a scan without text, this tool cannot create a TXT result; use OCR elsewhere. Check complex layouts after extraction.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Files and tool input are processed in your browser. Moving around the site can keep a temporary workspace in the same tab. Refreshing or closing the tab clears it, so download results you want to keep.
What should I check in this result?
Check word spacing, line breaks and reading order, especially in columns or tables. Pages without selectable text are listed; scanned pages need OCR elsewhere.
