    Choose the excerpt

    Leave end blank to keep the rest. Export aligns the requested times to audio sample boundaries.

    WAV output settings

    Defaults keep the source rate and channels. The download is 16-bit PCM WAV, not MP3.

    Preparing the tool…

    Before you start

    Listen to one local WAV or MP3, mark the start and end, then export only that sample-aligned segment as 16-bit PCM WAV.

    How to use this tool

    1. Choose one local WAV or MP3 and listen to it in the source player.
    2. Pause or scrub to the wanted points and mark start/end, or type their times in seconds. Leave end blank to keep the rest.
    3. Trim, check the exact sample-aligned range and play the saved excerpt, then download the WAV.

    Supported inputs and limits

    One WAV or browser-decodable MP3 file up to 30 MiB; decoded float samples up to 80 MiB. Output is 16-bit PCM WAV at 8–192 kHz; up to 8 input channels. This tool does not detect silence, add fades, edit multiple sections, or export MP3.

    Worked example

    Example input

    tone.wav
    Example options
    {
      "start": 0.5,
      "end": 1.5
    }

    Example output

    tone-trimmed.wav — source 0.5–1.5 seconds; saved 1 second at 48,000 Hz, mono, 16-bit PCM

    When something does not work

    If trimming fails, check that start is before end and both lie within the source duration. Use one supported WAV or intact browser-decodable MP3. The result shows the actual sample-aligned boundaries; listen before downloading.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are my files uploaded?

    No. Files and tool input are processed in your browser. Moving around the site can keep a temporary workspace in the same tab. Refreshing or closing the tab clears it, so download results you want to keep.

    Can this trim silence automatically or save MP3?

    No. Choose the start and end yourself. The saved clip is 16-bit PCM WAV, including when the source is MP3; changing format cannot restore detail lost in the MP3.
