Conversion reports need more than a flat table
Check recurrence declarations, catalog identities, format signatures and geometry metadata before handing converted files to another application.
A summary does not expand a calendar
A VEVENT with a weekly RRULE is one definition even if a calendar app later displays many occurrences. A raw TZID also needs a timezone processor before it becomes an instant. Retain those declarations rather than treating a row count as an appointment count.

A message ID does not uniquely describe a translation
The same msgid can appear under distinct contexts. Plurals have several forms, and obsolete records can remain useful during maintenance. A flat JSON mapping discards those relationships; use the structured catalog when the recipient needs a reversible handoff.
A matching argument list can still change formatting
An index-preserving translation may introduce a different precision, width or literal-percent count. Keep both signature and formatting differences in the report. Choose the platform before comparison because Java Formatter and NSString do not share one grammar.
A geometry string cannot store Feature properties
A polygon hole belongs to the geometry, while a parcel identifier belongs to its Feature metadata. Deliver WKT with its sidecar when a later GeoJSON restoration needs that identifier. Retain the source file as the reference for unsupported constructs.
- Keep the original source with full downloads.
- Record platform, conversion direction and metadata policy.
- Treat a rejected construct as unsupported, not as a successful empty conversion.
