Stopwatch
Start a stopwatch, pause it, or record a lap.
Timer workspace
Tool input and files are processed in this browser without being uploaded.
Before you start
Time a task, pause for breaks, and record laps. The running time appears in the browser tab title. Copy the current elapsed time for a work log or copy the lap table; this page does not keep project history.
How to use this tool
- Select Start to begin the stopwatch.
- Select Lap while running to record a split; pause and resume without losing elapsed time.
- Copy the current elapsed time or lap table before switching tools, resetting, refreshing, or closing the page.
Supported inputs and limits
Timer state and lap times stay in this page only. Switching tools, refreshing, or closing the page resets them.
Worked example
Example input
Start; record a lap after 1 minute, then another after 45 seconds.
Example options
Example output
Lap 1: split 00:01:00, total 00:01:00. Lap 2: split 00:00:45, total 00:01:45.
When something does not work
If the stopwatch appears to stop, keep this page open and check whether the browser suspended the tab or the device slept. Reset to begin a new session; copy any lap times first.
Frequently asked questions
Are my lap times saved?
No. Elapsed and lap times stay in this page only. Copy them into your own log before switching tools, refreshing, or closing the page.
What is the difference between split and total?
Split is the time since the previous lap, or since Start for the first lap. Total is the elapsed time since Start, excluding pauses. Device sleep can affect browser timing.
