Countdown timer
Set a countdown for the task in front of you.
Timer workspace
Tool input and files are processed in this browser without being uploaded.
Before you start
Set a duration and keep a visible countdown beside your task. Pause or resume as needed; the page shows a finish notice when time runs out. Keep the tab open, since browser restrictions can delay the notice.
How to use this tool
- Set hours, minutes and seconds to a total greater than zero.
- Select Start. Pause and resume without losing the remaining time.
- Keep the page open for the finish notice. Pause before editing the duration; an edit starts a new countdown.
Supported inputs and limits
This countdown stays in the current page only. Switching tools, refreshing, or closing the page resets it.
Worked example
Example input
Set 0 hours, 1 minute and 30 seconds; then select Start.
Example options
Example output
The display starts at 00:01:30.000 and counts down to 00:00:00.000.
When something does not work
Enter a duration greater than zero, with minutes and seconds from 0 to 59. If the timer appears stuck, keep this page open and return to the tab; use Reset to start the current duration again.
Frequently asked questions
Will I get an alert if I close the tab?
No. The finish notice appears only while you stay on this page. Switching tools or closing it stops the timer. A background or sleeping browser can delay the notice, so use a system alarm for time-critical reminders.
Can I change the duration after starting?
Pause first, then edit hours, minutes or seconds. The changed duration starts a new countdown. Reset restores the current duration.
