CSV to Excel
Make an Excel workbook from a CSV file.
- 1Add input
- 2Adjust settings
- 3Get your result
Tool input and files are processed in this browser without being uploaded.
Before you start
Create a real XLSX workbook with editable text cells. Choose whether the first row is a header to freeze it. CSV values stay literal strings, preserving leading zeroes and preventing formula execution.
How to use this tool
- Paste content into “CSV input” or choose a local file.
- Review Delimiter, Worksheet name, First row is headers and Input encoding before selecting “Create Excel file”.
- Review the XLSX result, then download the workbook.
Supported inputs and limits
CSV is limited to 10 MiB and 200,000 cells; output XLSX stores cells as text and does not execute formulas.

}When something does not work
Correct the reported syntax or range and run again. Formatting is not execution: scripts, SQL, expressions and pasted markup do not run against your system or a remote service.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Files and tool input are processed in your browser. Moving around the site can keep a temporary workspace in the same tab. Refreshing or closing the tab clears it, so download results you want to keep.
What should I check in this result?
Choose whether the first row contains headers. Only a header row is styled and frozen; all CSV cells remain literal text, including leading zeroes and formula-like values.
