Preparing the tool…

Before you start

Create a repeatable palette from one HEX, RGB(A) or HSL(A) seed using a color rule, or mix two six-digit HEX colors by weighted sRGB channels. Copy individual colors after checking them in your design.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose palette generation or RGB mixing in Settings; only controls for that task are shown.
  2. Enter a base color; for mixing set the second color and ratio, or choose a palette rule.
  3. Review the swatches and copy individual HEX values, or download the complete result.

Supported inputs and limits

Pasted text is limited to 1 MiB; review the result before using it.

Palette accepts HEX, RGB(A) or HSL(A); mixing requires two six-digit HEX colors. Check results in the target design.

Very low-saturation seeds vary lightness because rotating their hue would not produce distinct visible colors.

When something does not work

Use the documented input format and keep values within the displayed limits. Review the result before using it in another document or application. Editing the input marks the previous result as stale; a failed run clears it.

Frequently asked questions

Where are the combined operations?

Use Task to choose Generate palette, RGB mixing. Some parameters apply only to their corresponding task; run again and inspect the result after changing modes.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Files and tool input are processed in your browser. Moving around the site can keep a temporary workspace in the same tab. Refreshing or closing the tab clears it, so download results you want to keep.

What should I check in this result?

Palette rules are deterministic and use HSL hue or lightness changes. Mixing averages sRGB channel numbers, not physical paint or perceptually uniform color. Check contrast separately.
